Cruising around on the Damse Vaart
Discover the historical splendor of the Damse Vaart! This picturesque canal also known as the Napoleon Canal was dug by order of none other than Napoleon Bonaparte with the help of Spanish prisoners of war. Napoleon had a vision to create a waterway from Bruges to Breskens. Not only for military purposes but also for skating in winter and swimming in summer.
